My gig bus

Postby helenmarie123 » Fri Jun 24, 2011 12:40 pm

Hello all,

I wanted to show you all what iv been upto this week with my van :D

The only problem is I forgot to take a picture of it before I started

My cab was leaking water and the floor had rusted etc, so I wanted to strip it out to see what the damage was.

I took the seats out (11 years worth of rusty seized Torq bolts werent easy to shift I'd like to add) and took the manky horrible rubber mat up and low and behold it was rusted  so I set about cleaning it up, found where the water was coming in and sorted that, treated the rust and filled etc, primered it and then sprayed with Holts Diamond White.

I got a new rubber mat, better condition steering wheel, carpeted the bulkhead and bought new seat covers, (a pink air freshener!) and heres what it looks like now :D

The rear of the van is also all boarded out and carpeted throughout the same as the front of the bulkhead :D

Iv just got the outside to sort now ...................

Oh and some footwell lights 8)
