djvirus mk5 camper conversion/restoration

Postby djvirus82 » Tue Jul 19, 2011 8:58 am

Right ive had the van a few weeks nar and the missus says she wants to go away in sept in it so i thought i better get my finger out! Ive got thousands of ideas running about i my head about what im going to do with him (code name freddrick the fridge van!! Ive got strong connection to the moddified car world and ive got a tendency to make things fit from other things eg: cavalier gsi with scooby imprezza front and rear seats and steering wheel, 1 off door cards, i like my sounds too so expect a bit of an install, I must admit i do like the idea of a mk 6 front bumper (mattblackminibus) so keee[ your eyes peeled: Subtle exterior mods/euro style - banded steels - modern twist on the camper conversion, and i feel a td transplant with front mount and dump valve.

Ps how do i upload pics? or am i looking with sumbody elses eyes in!! :o

ripping all that insulation out was a task let me tell you all. :(

I went for the fridge van 1 because it was cheap and 2 because i thought that will save me insulating it, till i noticed that lack of floor underneath, and didnt wont to set fire to her so up came the floor. mind you it takes nearly 8inch from the sides and floor and roof so... it aint that big to start with.

Out you come mr insulation!!
