Bought my Ford T260...

Postby Sachmo » Thu Aug 25, 2011 5:13 pm

Hi all,

Only just joined the forum a couple days ago.
Right am now owner of a Ford T260, 2.0L DI, SWB, Low roofline.
Yey.

I'll try and post a few piccys up later.
I have a couple of plans:
1st to get a full body re-spray in a dark mettalic silver, add some decent alloys.
2nd get it chipped/re-mapped.
The PS is only 75PS sp wandering what is best to get more BHP and retain good MPG, Any ideas Guy's?...

Any thoughts be great. Also answer for my 2nd mod. Taa.

:-)

Hi,

Ahh OK. This is something I was going to check into.
I have had some quotes back already these quotes are for full body re-spray in a dark metalic silver, this is 1st to be done.
2nd is deff getting the van PS up from 75PS up to the max that I can do with out damaging engine, or putting exsesive strain on it, and for good MPG.

Have you got any suggestions, please. How is this done up to 100ps?
Thanks.

Hi, sorry I have had a long day. Just took a look at Vantuner's website. Thanks for putting that banner up. Nice 1.

Hi all,

Just found this browsing through old threads. Link: http://www.chipexpress.com/products/714/
Instead of a re-map ECU, go for a Chip.
Only downside I can see with a re-map/ECU is that if a garage does service work on van, they would re-configure the mapped ECU, and therefore putting it back to OEM stats. And that would be a waste of money. Cause it would need to be re-done all over again.

Right - Anyone got any ideas what is the best way to gain more PS/BHP...from 75ps to 100ps +, with out putting extra strain on gear box/engine :?:

Thanks people.

Got some prices for a re-map ECU around my local area. Re-Map ECU price £275.00 Inc Vat all in. From Angel tuning. Van pop round to my pad, and re-map is done in 3 hours or less. Sounds Ok to me.
How come everyone on here argues about ECU re map, arguing about pros & cons?! Mainly some stiff cons about a re-mapped ECU.
