Hi Guys,
Came across a Mk1 on side of road. Weeks rego left but failed inspection...it's RS re rot. Auto box sprung major leak. Spoke to owner who wants to get rid of it. Asked $800....HaHaHa, then $500...still HaHaHa. Still drivable but slipping. Be shame to see it go under the crusher without stripping mech parts, hence my post. Only need to be off road for a less than a week... anyone? Hopefully get it for nothing or at least $100.

Yep, spoke to the guy on friday. Very rusty. Been out of reg for more than 12 months. One of the gas tanks is under at the rear which would be a good idea apart from risk of big bang whilst bottoming out tho I suppose no more risk that petrol.
