I’ve never removed the top spring just expanded the shoes on the adjustment with the brake pipe off push the pistons back in to give I bit more wiggle room.

Hi Ralph9.
It s a 77 autohome. But when I look for 77 cylinders I get Options that do not look the same.

Here are some photos of my cylinders

I’ve seen a set that look right but they are advertised as Mk2.
I’m also believing the stories that the parts available were often fit. Need to fit shoes obviously or I could replace all.
Any help is appreciated.
Henry

I had it happen that the with a mk1 the cylinders came out for a mk2 that was five years newer then the mk1.if you get cylinders with the right pistons but the dowel in the mounting face is in the wrong position I have used a pin file to slot the hole so it will fit . And looking at the photos you may have to remove the top spring every one I did back in the day hod the flat edge pistons .

Thanks Dumper
I’m thinking these have the right look. I’ll see if I can get more specs from the outlet and hope you have some info for me Ralph9.

Try and get some with the long bleed nipples or replace the short ones with the long type makes bleeding much easer.
