2ltr pinto into flat front mk1

Hi any help would be appreciated I am putting a pinto into my mk1 and want to retain the flat front mine is a early one with the pedals up through the floor ,I have got a engine and gearbox from a 1973 bull mode mk1 and I have it sitting in situ but I need to put it back further Has anyone done 5his already and have any pointers??
