How many HP in a 2.0L OHC?

Postby WillTravelToo » Tue Mar 11, 2008 11:09 pm

Gentlemen,

Having failed to get a V6 properly documented to pass the Dutch MOT I am now considering souping up the original 2.0L OHC. Any thoughts?

Depends on which engine you have, a standard Transit one on a VV carb is around 70hp, on the other hand a genuine 2.1 with high comp pistons and twin 45's with the right head and cam CAN produce up to about 180bhp.

Unless its run on a dyno you will not know for sure whichever engine you have, mine is a 2.1 with an efi head and 32/36dgav weber carb with weber 38 dgas jets and a 'high torque' cam, in theory it should be around 115bhp.
