Hi. my transit 1986 Mk2 has a liftback rear door. unfortunately sime time ago, while driving with it open, the internal mechanism must have fallen into the street. Any help where I can find a replacement. I just need the internals as I have a new external door handle with barrel and key. Thanks. Nardu.

do you mean the lock and handle mechanism? Wardy was breaking a Mk1 with this type of door, and although he sold it, maybe the buyer could help you with the lock off his old one. Have a look in parts for sale.

I do have the outside handle. what I need is the mechanism that locks the rear door to the floor board. It is fixed on the inside of the rear door and is spring loaded. Just in case, where can I contact Wardy?

wardy-uk in a member on here, send him a PM! BUT I was thinking you could contact the buyer of the back door, maybe they would have the mechanism spare.
