doc you have a chassi cab exhaust fitted if you had of gone panel van it would of been over more,just get another bit of pipe with a bend in it and point it to the ground!
pop down to your local exhaust fitter place when its shut and see if you can find a piece of pipe from the old
scrap pile ! failing that hallfords will do the trim that points downwards!

ps fred its not a good idea to have a exhast that is short of the body ,have you ever been in a minibus with nackard rear door rubbers and had the fumes comeing in???????

ok ive got it sussed,,,,im going to run the van on veggie oil.and i will be too buzy thinking about chips to fall asleep .....no seriously pipe will exit right hand side of rear door(below light cluster)

fred the van has a camper body on it so its not the correct place to have the pipe by the door ,it doesnt matter on a luton or a pick up as you are not in the back!
why do you think the ambulace has a side exit ,with all those fumes from the essex the patients will be chokeing by the time they get to the hossy!

The patients and crew were so busy puffing on their woodbines back then that nobody would have noticed the exhaust fumes...

That exhaust is much further over to the side of the vehicle - as Mark says a LWB van style exhaust perhaps?

I've also had another look under my van and realised that the (plastic) waste water tank sits under the shower room at the o/s rear corner. There might just be space to exit behind the rear wheel that side....
