2 litre essex different size carbs

Hello
I have two Transit Essex 2 litre engines one from 1975 the other is older. The older one has a smaller carburetter. Both carbs are ford branded. Same size manifold. Anyone know what carbs have been mounted on the v4 and if i it is possible to interchange carbs between engines?
Also the engine mounts are different on the two engines, the old one has pressed steel forward pitched mounts, the newer has more complex ones situated further back on the engine. Also the Engine rubber mounts are different diameter and height.
