Some information.

Postby Preiss » Sat Sep 27, 2008 8:24 am

Hi again,

I would like to have som information now when I am screwing my engine and gearbox back together.
I have forgott my Haynes repair book at other place and can't reach it.

I would like to have these information, these are for the Ford Essex engine:

1. Torque for cylinderhead, intake manifold, thermostat, carburator, clutch preassure plate, exhaust manifold and valve cover. (Some of the most importnant torque for the cylinderhead and gearbox).

2. What kind of gearbox oil I can use?

3. What is the valve clearance.

Regards.

Some torque settings etc are here http://www.baconsdozen.co.uk/motorhome/essexengine.htm Valve clearances are 10 thou for inlet 18 for exhaust (engine hot). When tightening cylinder heads start in middle and work outwards.

Thanks for your help.

I have found some other torque settings. But I need torque settings for the clutch pressure plate.
