The only thing I can suggest is taking the tank off and fill it with water. Taking the tank iff is not going to be an easy job though, on enclosed bodywork.

next time you fill the tank look underneath you should see fuel pour out check to see if there is a breather hose fitted tofiller neck if hose has gone you should be able to see a crack or hole in pipe look underneath use a torch check all round pipe it should be obvious if it is leaking also check hose clips.cheers jim.

Thanks to the marvellous help from watto this weekend (sorting we hope also the overheating by flushing loadsa gunk out of the rad) i think we may have solved the mystery of the tank - basically i filled it up too much an lost mucho fuel through the breather/overflow.

BTW - can anyone suggest a battery for my landliner - i think there is too much demand on the one I have - it powers everything when not hooked up (no seperate leisure battery fitted) Is there a heavy duty one i can fit?

Not sure yet - We're gonna take her for a spin out to Rye tomorrow - seemed ok on the way back from yours though. Lets hope there are no hills on the way!

Didn't get as far as Rye - Just beachy head. No problems - No more than halfway on the temp gauge - brilliant! Had to drop to second gear for some of the hills tho'.

There are some pretty serious hills if you went A259 route to Beachy Head. I reckon you done well to get up in second - I wouldn't complain at that
