TRANSIT/SIERRA CLUTCH COMPATIBILITY

Well ive spent most my time lately playing with an old mk1 sierra so the poor old mk2 tranny has been neglected somewhat

The question i have is does anyone know if a 2.5di transit clutch from a van with a type 9 box will fit a 2.8v6 sierra with a type 8 box?

I have a feeling they are the same size/no of splines and thought it would be a cheaper way of going 'heavy duty' on the sierra

Any views would be much appreciated

Will it be a good 'upgrade' or would it be no better than fitting a quality sierra clutch?

I wouldnt say it would be an upgrade at all to be honest, it will be very 'snatchy' as the springs are stronger on the Transit clutch to help stop slipage, in the Sierra you will either brake your neck or light the rear tyres up
