mk2 round headlamp question..

i have managed to find 2 mint round headlamp plastic surrounds from an early mk2 tranny but the lamps them selfs were shot any ideas where i coud get some new or good second hand ones. also will i find any problems fitting them to my 1979 mk2 van with square lights , cheers tony

i am not 100% shure but mini,s use the same type on the mk1 anyway so if they are 7inch they will be the same!

yeah i'm pritty sure they are standard sealed beams i keep lookind for a set of surrounds for my mk2V6 - still undecided which i like best

minis, minors, landrovers etc all use standard sealed beams...

Even better halogen "conversions" are avaliable for less than £30 and massively improve light output

there actually not sealed beam units there are h3 i think the bulbs that look like house bulbs,with a separate side light bulb that pushes into the lamp as well. and the fixing for the mini items are no good for the transit!! any more ideas!!

get a mini halogen setup...

Sidelights are in the headlight and they use standard H4 bulbs. Go to halfords (or similar) buy 2 H4 connectors - or get them from a scrappy - and wire them in....
