mki brake adjustment

Hi I know this has been covered before but I can't find the post.after adjusting the front brakes on my van as per Fords w/shop manuel they still grab to the right or left,any advice most welcome

then again, no it doesn't :lol:

Jack up the car, press the brake pedal, release, adjust one on the adjusters while spinning the wheel by hand, adjust until you feel(hear) the brake shoe scraping the drum. Back of lightly till the scraping disappears(just). Now adjust the other brake shoe. After this you press the brake pedal again and repeat the whole procedure. Pressing the pedal will centre the shoes. Then do the other wheel. Be sure all 4 cilinders are in good working order and there is no air in the system.

Thanks for the advice guys,yes drums all round 1976 motorhome I think it must be a rare, use up all our spare bits model, the drums are 9/1/2 or 10inch can't quite remember but when trying to source parts I have been told that that year van did'nt have larger drums on rear and should have discs on front,(It's a late 76) I will give it a go this weekend following your advice

stick a mk 3 front axle on it with disc brakes, much better than messin around with sticking wheel cylinders!! :D
