Postby chrisjhallm3 » Mon Aug 17, 2009 2:25 am

Hi. I have a 1985 transit recovery truck with blown engine, I also have 1994 2.5 diesel banana engine van. Can I transplant. what do I need to change, what are the pitfalls. Many Thanks

what can I think of :
gearlever must be shifted a few inches sideways

g/box cross member needed for the Mt75 g box

engine mountings should be of the slanting type or if on the new engine they are different, they can be replaced by unbolting them from engine

also different prop shaft as first piece should be of different lenght, and differnet flange pattern.
