Bought my first van and its a mk1 minibus, i have a question

Hi guys, bought my first transit mk1 minibus, the van had the chassis number really faint so the police re did the chassis number, now after a couple of days i removed the scuttle panel just under the windscreen and found the chassis number stamped in the firewall just under the scuttle panel, is this normal or was it put their by somebody else?

Could anybody give me any info about the van? chassis number is BD05RL61132

thats the normal place and the factory stamp, thats its proper id regardless of what anything else might be saying.
