mk1/2 twin wheels

Another twin wheel question!!

Are mk1 twin wheels the same as mk2 :?:

Ive found out i only have 1 round hole wheel and all the rest are mk3 square type :(

I don't think that there are any differences between the Mk1 and 2 twin wheels. They look ezactly the same to me.

thanks fred - ive been looking at the right front thinking mk3 wheels dont look bad on a mk1 - then ive realsied its a mk1 wheel!! :shock:
the mk3 wheels dont look anyware near as good on the mk1!! :(

they all fit even the LDV ones or vice versa :D

But if you get one of each on the front axle, you get a bit of a wobble, like having a crossply and a radial on the same axle.

should be ok i drove the mk3 they all came off that had the odd wheels on that was fine!!! :D

When we bought on of ours a few years ago, she had odd wheels. When we went into the tyre place to get new tyres, that's what I was told as the wheels are very slightly different wieghts. They weren't trying to sell us anything as I had already pitched up for a set of tyres, and metioned it in passing. I had em fitted anyway, and the wobble was still there. So I had the wheel swapped later and it was gone.

Ive just found another mk1 wheel :D so im sorted either way - i could do with another 4 but the front 2 are the main ones!!!
