It says bidding has ended on this item, though reserve not met. I am not an ebay expert so does this mean it was sold elsewhere or withdrawn? £1000 is a bit much for something with no MOT, I would say more like £500, it might have been as good as gold in the past MOT wise but is now approaching serious welding. It really depends how much you want either a Mk2 or this particular van. There is a red C reg in the ebay section that is only £46 at the moment, in similar condition.

I was thinking the millage cant be genuine for the condition - but he says he has all the mot's to prove it :? and why would the propshaft have a wobble after 8500 miles??

I think its a very good van though!! - looks alot better than the red one i'd say fred!!! although very difficult to value either from photos!!!

i would have thought its value was nearer £500 than £1000

also why is the sld on the wrong side!!! :?

Never noticed the SLD, it depends what the original owner ordered from new. Could give a clue to the early life of the van, don't know what. If MOTs are available it's unlikely it's been converted from a LHD. I think the two (red and pale blue) vans look about the same condition, though milage varies vastly between the two. Where does it say the milage? Them main problem with this van may be the owner knows what he has got, and has overpriced it accordingly!

 i would agree with luke ,more £500 than a £1000 .i am abit suspicous about the miles on the clock , as luke say prop woble at 8500  looking at the codtion of the steering wheel etc i would say 108500 miles , i would need to see all the mots from when it was 3 yrs old! but it is a nice van thou! :D

I cintacted the seller yesterday on spec ,as me compo has finaly come through (yep beer's on me :D ) . Aggree with fred he know's what he's got , one thaught on the prop it would appear to have been standing a while...... theres a birds nest next to the battery !!!! , its possible the rubber on the center bearing carryer has perrished and started to break up due to lack of use ......... im going to give this one a miss unless he comes down on the price substantialy

Mate im not sure where carterton is but if its near you you could try go have a look - you would tell if the 8500 miles is genuine then!!
after all ive spent 6 times what i paid for my van restoring it!!! :?
it could be possable that its done 100,000 miles before the first mot and it would still be in good condition!! also like you say could be the rubber perished on the prop - not milage related!!
Still say it looks a strait van!!! :D
Best of luck, worth trying to get the price down!!! :D

As far as the price goes, I am a big believer in waving notes under the seller's nose. As Luke says, if it's near you go and have a look and take cash up to your max. Has it actually been sold, or did the bidding end leaving the reserve not being met?

If I paid 6 times what I paid for the minibus in doing it up (yes, I know it's not a restoration as such) we are still in profit!

as long as there is no rot ... oh those famous last words, just a couple of points i have from those images

1) side door is on the wrong side (poss a LHD conversion)
2) nice birds nest in the battery tray (just how long has it been stood)
3) that close up of the step is saying rot to me
4) yeah the wings need to be replaced, but take a closer look at the rain chanels under the bonnet and pop an indicator out and see if its rotten behind there.
