MK2 Panel Van & website

Wanted in the Cumbria area is a cheap MK2 swb panel van to restore.
My idea is to restore it in my grandfathers old firms livery.
Any colour or condition will do.
Must be one rotting in a field or garden somwhere
Any good MK1 and MK2 websites?

Welcome! Always glad to hear form another Mk2 fan. Consider buying a minibus and converting it back to a van. We bought one recently for only £100 with tax and test, but the engine was stuffed. The inside is lovely (only 61,000 miles), but the outside has been abused! They are about, you just have to keep your eyes open. You may have to travel a bit. Keep checking the ebay section of this site, you'd be suprised what you miss but gets picked up on here!

I have a MK 3 recovery truck but would love a MK2 panel van as we had a couple of them years ago when my family ran their own bussines..........great times.
Seems strange to think you don't see them like you once did, and pick them up for next to nothing.

We run a business, and had a couple of them years ago. Now we have ten, eleven with the minibus! Why get rid of em if they work?

Yeah it was such a shame to get rid of them but the business went and we didn't have room to keep them, back then you could still see plenty on the roads and I didn't think they would go overnight like they seem to have done.
I need a van in the next couple of months and I just see it as a chance to get myself a MK2, they are nice and simple, I know where they rust and I trust them, our A reg custom would drive anywhere and back and you would never worry about it..............she still around????? A391AWA, SWB, Blue ,custom model.......had an orion steering wheel and recaro seats.... .....yeah they was in when we got it!....lol

Never mind I didn't think it would be we fitted a new front end after a crash and it was still bent, passed the test as it was before and not after the front wheels..........you could pick body panels back then...mallys ford spares in leeds did the lot, inner wing front panel, bumper, wing....all for I think it was £150.............great days

No thats not her, same van but mine was mint, paid £900 for her in the early 90s, loved that blooming machine.
