I spent a lot of time, evenings and weekends, teaching myself to create cad files, I was so excited when I picked up the first version, although I had not included the started hole in the drawing, so that one was scrap
The chap at the water jet cutters was so helpful, offering advice on production methods etc, so pleased that I chose them for the project. They will be producing the engine mounting plates etc for all our conversion work from now on.
I went to two laser cutting firms first, neither were interested, one would not even tell me the file format required for the cad drawing, perhaps they didn't think that I was serious about the project, their loss.
Now we have a cad file for the di bell housing, we can 'superimpose' this on other drawings to produce adapter plates for other engine fitments.
Watch out, you never know what is around the corner
