I was offered a SWB MK1 with twin side loading doors yesterday, it needs a lot of work as someone has tried to fit MK5 front suspension & steering. I will try & get some pictures.

Hmm, not sure I like the mk1 sliders tbh, especially when 1 is a slider and the other isn't  I have an obsession with symmetry :(
This is why I would be aiming for a mk2 with standard front doors and I think the side doors just open the same way as you'd get a later crew cab pickup. In essence, not sliding.

Hopefully I'll get 1 with the 1 side door perhaps uk spec is normal n/s and so I'd then be looking at a lhd o/s door and chopping the closure parts needed.

I'm not really a fan of the standard factory finish of the van, but with a small amount of modernising I will be pleased with it I think.

Basically I will try and keep the essence of the van

I know what you mean! I like the vans with double sliders, but not drivers side only! :)

Drivers slider, side door, tailgate, is best combo for easy access, or if your handy with a grinder & welder twin sliders with side door & tailgate

I think loot means normal opening cab doors and sliding side load doors (1 on each side) that how I understand it anyway.

Why don't Vans have sliding cab doors anymore, I'd love a sliding driver's door on my mk666, make pushing it to the kirb easier

On the mk2 it'll be standard front doors then hinged side doors as I don't think they do sliding side doors although I may have seen 1 or might have imagined it

So to recap, 2 standard front doors, 2 hinged side doors, 1 tailgate and no sliding doors
