Nice piece of history there Adam I know I've showed you these before There's unlikely to be any survivors, mine was on a 1972 van I think and the bed was so rotten, I scrapped the bed in 1978 They were tough but as soon as the paint scratched off, the rot began

Thanks again for posting keef I've got 7 car's/commercial projects So I have got enough to work through But I'd love to build a walker body MK1 transit I saw one once, and that was late 70s I was born 71 So I was young but I never forget what I'd seen And it was same colour as your truck Someone Said that British gas had some How true that is I'm not sure My dad almost bought a twin wheel Bedford mk1 CF That had a walker body on it (again late 70s) I spotted outside a car sales Next Day dad asked about it, sold So missed that one That was dark blue Looked ex navy But the body on the transit and Bedford are not the same So only chance I think is make one I've got 90 % of the information needed though make one The rest could be worked out as you build it But I've had my MK1 project since 2011
Was thinking about it last night And don't think he said British gas Think he Said southern water board Or just water board Had walker body MK1 transit How true that is who knows Because it's red its ex post office Yellow ex AA Green it's Arrods Capital A
Surprise surprise the site where they built the body's is now a block of flats Not a big plot must have been tight with body's being made lorry's coming and going etc And possibly a waiting list Unless they had storage somewhere else But I dought it Made to order only Did they fit them or just send them out? There's probably some old boy up there somewhere who use to work there
