Where do I get chrome windscreen insert from for my MK1

i think it depends what type blades you have ,the original trico ones are wide and very hard to find a rubber to replace!

I can't see how you can remove the rubber blade from the teeth without making an absolute hash of it

mate you have trico these would have been orginal type to the van! you should have a clip at the end this you sqeeze together and the rubber and blade should come out of the metal frame!
take the clip off and slide out the rubber
now getting replacement rubber is going to be very hard to find as most replacement rubbers are not wide enouph to sit in that frame!
i will keep an eye out ,for you!

Mark knows his wipers i know he put me right on mine , and sourced me a proper set and ive been using my mk1 for work all week in the rain and they work the nuts, as good as me mk7

its just a little thing that bugs me ,you have a classic that you spend ££££££££ on and it needs the correct wiper blades!
its like when i watch heatbeat etc and you see a old classic car and it has black wipers on it
even a can of silver paint dont take much just to get it looking as it should be!

black ones are not to bad but original chrome are hard to get!
there is a good chance if you get stuck i will find you a pair but these will be £40 and you might need to hang on till end of march!

It's a tricky one

But you are right about wipers having to be chrome, it just doesn't look right otherwise, so I think I'll just keep hanging on until I can find a suitable replacement for the rubbers
