:D :D :D :D :D Hi thats an early di, i personally think it was the best di as no vac pump on rear of alt to keep packing up,mind you if the vac pump belt goes you get a sevo full of oil lol :) :lol: :) :lol: :) :lol: :P .............. any road if it had been a yorkie with 4 glow plugs they are in the inlet manifold i seem to remember 3 in one out ,been a while since i worked on a yorkie ,even longer for a 3.5 yorkie in an a series transit best wishes Billy ....... :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Cheers Billy :D you guys have been a real help on this for me.Finding this forum has stopped me from throwing in the towel on the old girl. Looks like i'm on a pump hunt then eh :!: If anyone knows of one i'd be really grateful. :wink:

It's not an early Di, the early ones have a Lucas CAV pump.

Maybe mine was supposed to have as its got a lucas filter housing on it.

i think it has the wrong pump, it should be a lucas, ford did fit some earlier di's with bosch pumps on the 190 twin wheelers

Isn't the date on the block on the right hand side near the front under where the oil filer cap is?

Cant find any numbers at all on the right hand side of block but on the left i found 844F-6015-CA with a larger number 2 underneath it. Also there's a number on the air intake 844F-942 AC 016865.

they will just be casting numbers, the date is on the cylinder head at the front of the oil filler

:D :D :D Hi it has to be an early di as the vacum pump is built in on lower left looking at engine and the alt is fastened top left,i have the same engine same pump,filter housing on mk 2 b redg it has the orignal engine still in best wishes billy :D :D :D ..the pump has a cable cold start devise same as mine bit similiar to the later lucas cav pumps :D
