Just an advice , when you will put the wings on again why dont you bolt them using self taper bolts? Mine are done that way, and they are first laid on some type of silicone sealant then bolted onto that , it was done by the previous owner . But id like the idea.

Shouldn't the wings be welded, for body strenght?
The idea of removable wings is very appealing though... :)

No the front wings are only cosmetic, the inner wing is the load bearer, I have made my mk2's wings removeable and its fine :wink: :D

Well in that case I think I will make my life easier by bolting them. Should come in handy when work has to be done later on ( hope not :( )

Yes , thats why Im going to take them out when I begin something this summer. if they were welded, I will not remove they as there isnt any serious damage underneath. but they will be better bolted even to allign everything.
