Thank you all for your postive comments. we changed the back axle for a 4.63 mk2 unit with 195 tyres. its still got the bm 5 speed box. it still has no gearbox tunnel made yet, as we now have a 6 speed box to fit . it pulls hard but revs its nuts off n starts to get a little floaty at about 95 ish. future plans are to build a chevy 10 bolt/transit hybrid axle as crown wheel kits are readily available for this. I'm away but the van is going to gaydon with friends/family. cheers pete.

Gutted . van will not be going to gaydon as some clown has reversed a trailer into it today. Has anyone got a nos genuine o/s rear twin wheel arch for sale.i hope to have it sorted for Billing. cheers pete.

just a small up date. we sorted the gearing issue by using an 80's 3 series overdrive 5 speed box. now its ready to woop ass. C u in my mirror, Thanks again pete
