Hi gemini, yes i found this but the mk4 loom was compleatly different plug or so i think, i may be making another cock up saying this but when removing the loom from the mk4 i couldnt find a plug anything like the one on the mk2

I may have missed a trick here and am buggered now as the mk4 loom from the engine went into a black round plug by the battery (that i could not get apart) and then merged into loads more wiring from the headlamps etc and then through the bulkhead near the steering colum so i ended up chopping the loom as it was the only thing stopping me lifting out the lump?

might have been the mk 3 then that had the same plug, i know ive used the diesel loom on conversions

Yes i do, electrics are not my stromg point! There is a thread on hear about the conversion, and that plug is memtioned. Have a look around and do a search.

Well as i have chopped the loom i am looking at a mix and match now, hopefully i wont wreck anything in the process

Couldnt find one as this plug then merged into bigger part of the loom, stuffed now as chopped it

I feel like a compleat novice with the spanners when i come on here, i am pretty clued up compared to my mates but i have never done a petrol to diesel conversion before and its a learning curve to say the least, still with the help of you guys i am getting on pretty well i think well ber the electrics bit

While i think of it, to do the crank seal, once i have the flywheel off, how do i get the seal out?
