Mk1 mudflaps - fitting

Hi all,

I've just purchased some NOS mudflaps for my mk1 LWB twin wheel, does anyone have some pics of mudflaps fitted to their mk1 or mk2 - I can't work out how they should be orientated and where they should attach?

pretty sure they were fitted with pop rivets originally
