Seatbelt mount points??

Postby mavis cruet » Tue Jul 02, 2019 8:19 pm

Hey folks. I’m in the process of replacing the driver and (single) passenger folding campervan seats in my mk1, with some original transit ones. i’m trying to work out where the seatbelt socket (the bit on the stalk) would have originally bolted to the van floor. The seats i am using have the mechanism and the plastic shrouds. The previous ones were bolted to the seats. Also, does anyone have an image of the bracket that the passenger seat catches onto at the back please? Cheers in advance. Karl.

The driver and centre passenger stalks bolt to the floor behind the handbrake lever. The passenger stalk gies through the middle of the seat and bolts to the floor behind the seat.

Thank you! After having a good look and a ponder I was beginning to think that might be the case, but wasn’t 100%. I don’t suppose you know what size bolt fits the nut welded in do you? M10 fine is a touch small and i have another bolt of unknown size that has a similar thread pitch but approx 11mm in diameter and that doesn’t fit.... cheers again. K.
