Mk2 Chassis Cab

Postby HIGHCUBE » Thu Jul 18, 2019 4:23 pm

Hi My mechanic has a Mk2 chassis cab, thinking of restoring. But chassis is in bad way. I can find front chassis rails. Is there anywhere to source rear chassis rails.
Does a MK 3 match up.

not 100% sure but i think it will, i had the same issue with my old mk1 pickup ended up getting a mk1 chassis off a camper and welded it on

the mk2 is the same but i seem to remember measuring a mk3 and thinking it would fit :D

Cheers.
Thought about donor route. Shame to keep chopping them all up for spares. Not many left.
Maybe only option.
Cheers.

Hi All

Does anyone know if the chassis rails, on a 100 chassis cab are the same size as a 190 Chassis cab. Is it just the components and plating that defines the weight.

IE can you use a single wheeler to doner a twin wheeler..

Many Thanks

No the single wheel chassis is a totally different design to a twin wheel.
