MK1 color code - blue

Postby alandartevelle » Mon Aug 05, 2019 10:56 pm

Hi all,

I am currently looking for the name/code of this color :
unnamed.jpg

unnamed (1).jpg

After spending a few hours on internet and on this forum,
I found 2 potential names/codes :
Fiord blue - CE
Light blue - CG or XSC557

Does anybody have any advice ?
I find the color on the pictures perfectly fit with a white roof,
And as my high roof will be white I'd like to find the right code.

I ordered a srpay can of Bermuda blue but I think it will look a bit too bright, like this :
ebay821583.jpg

Which is nice, but I personally prefer the color of the first 2 pictures.

Here is what I found :
- Light blue :
https://www.uniquecarsandparts.com.au/c ... urope_1970
- Fiord blue :
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=67926

Please let me know your thoughts !

Many thanks in advance,

Cheers,

Alan

Hi Neil,
Thank you for the answer.

By any chance,
Does anyone have pictures of vehicles painted in Fiord Blue vs Light Blue ?

Many thanks in advance,

Best regards,

Alan

The colour you want is Fiord Blue code CE but beware they don’t mix up Fjord Blue which is a touch darker and purpley, probably more modern I’d guess
