Supervan 1 at Nurburgring and Monza

In 1971 Terry Drury took Supervan 1 to the Nurburgring, where a time of 9.21 was posted at a touring car meeting. The van was then taken to Monza, and demonstrated there. Would anyone have any photos or magazine articles from these two events? Any other rare or interesting photos would be appreciated too.

This is not the one you were after but the Top Gear team took a Transit to Nuburgring a few years ago with I think a local driver.

I think it may have been a Mark 5 and from memory the time may have been just over 10 minutes

It was a Mk6 135 tdci that top gear put around the nurburgring

And in reality it was faster than the Jag... but as ford owned Jag at the time, they couldn't be seen to be beating the premium product with an old van, so the faster times were never shown

yep saw that, and heard about Sabine's sub 10 lap time, which really was quite amazing! But the pics or film I after is about 35 years prior to that................
