MK2 2.4 York water temp sensor wiring

Hi!

My water temp gauge doesn't work.
Found out one wire is missing at the sensor and it is 3 wires coming out of the same "tube".
Where do these wires go?

The temperature gauge on the York engine only has one wire to it and is near the thermostat housing the sensor in the photo looks like the one for the preheat starter system

Ok.
I have to look more tomorrow.
The pre-heat is disconnected from the original setup on my car. It has a switch to manually pre-heat instead.

I don't have any other sensor than the one in the picture.
It's the same on my other Transit as well.

What color is the wire to the sensor?

Not sure on the colour but the terminal on the end was a 90 degree female round pole type and very close to the thermostat housing on the top of the head the sender in your photo if you remove it will not let any water out as it does not go into the water jacket unlike the temperature sender does .
