If I have a donor car, is it possible to change from twin rear doors to tailgate?

Yes it is, but your need to replace panel below gutters tailgate van has a filler panel in between gutter and tailgate, barn door van does not, go to my mk1 project and i did this on my van, only a few weeks ago, so 1 or 2 pages from the end
