Rea Racing Mk1 Transit

Postby jamsy » Tue Nov 17, 2020 7:12 pm

Does anyone know where the Rea Racing Mk1 Transit is or who owns it? The Joey Dunlop replica one with the Cosworth lump in it?

Edit: Just released this should probably be in the Transit Talk area if a mod wants to move it

I missed that one Neil. I remember it was on ebay about a year ago with the engine, can't remember how much it went for though

It sold for just under £11k, it was complete with the Cosworth BOB twin turbo engine at the time

Yeah that sounds about right. Looked nice back then, would be a shame if the engine has been removed.

I built the Joey Dunlop replica van originally. It's now with a collector in Wales. The one that was on ebay is not the same van - it was built a couple of years after I did my one.

It was just an Essex. Slow, but it got there and I even did two laps of the TT circuit!
