It would be an idea to measure the old battery, (length x width x height), and see if a longer battery will fit on the tray.
You also need to check which way round the posts are, (positive on left? or right?) unless the leads are long enough to fit either way around.
I seem to remember that battery posts on older Fords were tag (bolt through) connectors, whereas most modern batteries have round tapered posts, but you can buy post adaptors to use these newer batteries on the older vehicles, without changing the leads.
If the correct battery is the 075 (as above) which is 242 x 175 x 175, you may be able to fit a longer battery such as the Varta E38 which is 278 x 175 x 175, which has much greater cranking power, but you still need to check which side the positive terminal is on:-
