Carbs.. right and wrong ones..

Can people start giving model makes/numbers for the correct carbs used on v4 1700 ,2000 and pintos....be a good thread I think.... also might help me out as I hv 5 different units in a box here...pictures would be great too...

yours should be a zenith 36 downdraught carb the carb bodys the same for 1700 and 2000 its the jets that vary

I used the fomoco top that was on the van when I purchased it..i used this to keep the return to the tank pipe ...it had a 165 jet which I kept in that top....
This should still be ok for this 1700 I guess as the body looks the same inside and out....hope I'm correct in saying this.. van runs ok...recon mix needs setting up abit

Thank you.... I'll hv to assume all's the same in the original carb top...I did replace the main jet only with same one that was in it.. it says 165 on it.. the rest I cleaned and aired it out...the numbers you give me are for the zenith unit yeah...?

yes zenith fitted to 1700
