Has any one ever changed the centre bearing on a overdrive prop shaft

Yes but a long time ago I think the bolt holding the two parts together has a locking tab on it open it up and remove the bolt not sure if it has a master spline so mark the shaft so you put it back on as it came off .There are two types of centre bearing one is a moulded unit and the one comes in 3 parts a metal outer case that bolts it to the chassis then a rubber sleeve that holds the centre bearing in the middle of it to get the bearing on and off the shaft you will need a press to fit it .you could use a bearing puller to get it off and use a tube to knock the new one on but I would not be keen on that way I had one go while on holiday years ago got the parts removed it and got a local garage tor press it on and off.
