help needed how to weld window scuttle

Hi All,

My main welding left is repairing the lower windscreen scuttle. i see a while ago some repair panels but at current i believe they are out of stock. however im not sure whether i need it as believe it may be easier to repair from sheet steel formed.

lots of you must have done this repair so how did you do it?

how crucial is the thickness of metal/welds to the rubber fitting? im assuming its not that crucial?

any help before having a go at this in the next week or so would be appreciated, especially with pictures.

I think I have a good used scuttle that you could use for repair sections?

hi ralph i might come back to you but unless anyone comes forwards with information of what they did to repair theirs? i might have a go at making the repair panels as it doesn't look too difficult now that i have done over complex shaped parts.
