Postby escortavo » Thu Jan 10, 2008 12:29 am

I just bought a 1981 Mk2 SWB Transit in fair enough repair but needing some resto work .....anyway the question is....did they come with the 1600 crossflow as standard as that is whats sitting in mine :? ......some lads say yes but the majority say no.............so over to you transit men

as far as im aware the x/flow was only in the late mk1's as standard and all mk2 1600's should be the pinto :D

unless anyone else knows differently :?

Now that I didn't know, though I have heard of very early Mk2s being fitted with V4s, just like the early Mk1s having Thames bits on them.

I have never seen one myself, but it was Peter that told me, you knw what Ford is like, if they can get rid of the old parts they will, even if it takes a hammer to fit them
