As far as mechanical bits go, you name it. So far we have fitted diesel engines, 5 speed boxes, both front and back axles, brake compensator (load sensing) valves, servos and seats. Electrical stuff - lights, dash either don't fit or won't work with the dashboard.

the mk3 twin wheel variaty axle are narrower than their mk2 counter part by a couple of inches, the diffs are swapable, but the drums and hubs have different part numbers and i believe the drums are different thicknesses, also the rear brake parts are listed seperately so i can only assume there is some differences

Good point, the Mk3 axles are narrower, but we don't notice as we are putting them on chassis cabs fitted with luton bodies, so hardly noticable. Though it might be noticable with a van.

yes fred it is noticable, but the thing that worried me was the decreased clearance between the inner wheel and the edge of the floor/inner arch, it fits but i would not like to say what would happen if you got a flat on the inside wheel

i just think it looks kinda too skiny with the flared arches and a mk3 axle

I have also noticed that in a bizzarre reversal of the original sitiuation, original unmolested basic panel vans are now worth more than a converted camper (autosleeper, dormobile etc) this is also the same with the old commer PB, last standard van on ebay went for 2 grand
