new fuel tank wanted

Postby MK1 Transit » Wed Feb 27, 2008 8:49 pm

Hello Everyone,

THANKS TOP BOSS YOUR AMAZING

Lola is the name of My Mk 1 Transit reg no SWC 558R that has just had its old 3 ltr v6 engine, gearbox and prop shaft transplanted with a 3ltr Cosworth Crossflow Engine, T5 gearbox and new propshaft. It goes like a rocket and all thanks to  Top Boss Performance tuning of Derby telephone 01332 347 406  The Cosworth modification cost £3500 and is well worth it.

A short history of SWC 558R is that is was first owned by Lola racing their racing suspension mechanic bought it from Lola and I bought it for £750! after I saw it for sale on the way to a friend in Lakenheath and that is why its painted Lola green and called Lola.

Fuel return leak solved by fabricating new fuel line return connection to old tank. Thanks for all your help.

I have a slight oil leak from nearside rocker cover but, thats being done under guarantee by Top Boss Performance Tuning.

Once all the mechanics are finished I shall respray, sighn-paint, air brush some graphics of my own and work on carpeting and other interior niceties as well as customising the wheels.

Anyone know where I can get 2 wide six bolt alloys for front wheels ?

What I need is a diesel fuel tank for Lola because a diesel tank will have a return fuel line connector for the now fuel injected engine. At present we (Top Boss and my self ) have adapted the fuel gauge sender as the return for the injector system but, I have no fuel gauge, so please can anyone help with info or diesel tank?

Well seeing as you have spent that kind of money why dont you just spend another 200 quid and have a tank made and put the cosworth sender/pump in it?
And as Geoff says...PICTURES

Senders still prob avail from ford quote a diesel reg number at them! B818 HBL should get you a 190 Di for instance.

otherwise if they're so amazing it shouldn't be beyond them to drill a new hole in the top of the petrol one.
