I have a 1984 2.4Di Mk2 Transit. I want to change the oil but I'm unsure as to how much oil it takes??? I have a petrol haynes guide....did they ever do a diesel one??? :?:

Also is it possible to put power steering on one?? :?:

I also have a new drivers side step for sale for a Mk1/2 transit chassis cab if anyone is interested...thought I'd need it for my MOT but it was repairable!! yey!

if you goto a good motor factors they will tell you how much you need.

Your best bet for a manual for the engine is the haynes for the Mk3, 1986-1991. I don't think they did a Mk2 DI book, it was only out for 2 years, at the end of the Mk2 but the engine was carried on to the Mk3/4/5.

fred shame on you ,you telling me with all those vans you havnt even got a manual! :lol:

the oil with the filter capaccities are
6,4litre 11.2 pints :wink:

this was taken form my mk2 autodata manual number 314 for the mk2 transit ! :lol:

My Mk2 Haynes manual doesn't cover the DI, which is the only reason we have a Mk3 manual.

well then thats the same sump!!!!!!!2.4 york and di are the same sump!

I was answering the question about the Haynes book, and I do have one, one for the van and one for the DI engine, it's just not the same book :lol:
