I have a Pierburg carb, twin barrel with electronic choke, on a 2.8 V6 cologne engine, with auto box. The van starts fine every time and runs ok when in park, but when warmed up and put into drive it stalls, so i have to keep the revs up and use even more force on the brakes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and its using an insane amount of fuel, but i sort of expected that, £50 in petrol Birmingham to Sheffield.
I think the mixture may be wrong or the choke not fully coming off. I'm fairly used to SU carbs and have had some experience with Weber's (34ICH, 32/36DGAV).
I will find out the exact model this evening, but could really do with some tips on how to get it working. I'm struggling to find any decent guides on the net.
I don't really want to change the carb as I ideally want to change the engine, failing that the van.
Any Ideas / advice would be great.
Thanks in advance
