Emily's MOT

Postby PJR » Wed Jul 09, 2008 3:09 pm

took her to get the MOT done, and she failed - more welding it seems!

The front suspension mounts need a plate putting on, so i'm getting a quote to see what can be done! Other than that, a loose seatbelt, bad earth on rear lights and a hole in the exhaust...

any good welders in essex? :D

Mirrors  ? Is this a Mk2? Chassis cab or van? I can't believe they even mentioned it! If it's a chassis cab, they do wobble a bit cos of the length of the arms. Try very carefully 'freezing' them with superglue. Lift the arm up slightly and run some superglue underneath it. Let it go and let it set for a few hours or overnight before the next test. I bet they were creeping in at speed too! You can also slip a small piece of wet and dry under the mirror bracket and the door.
