bosch diesel pump change over

Postby foggy08 » Tue Jul 15, 2008 6:27 pm

hi i was wondering how easy it is to change from a lucas cav fuel pump to a bosch, from a from a wvo point of view,is there a certain pump you need to get ?,do you need the injectors to match the pump,do they both use the same pulleys, etc .what problems could i encounter, and if it all goes pear shaped,is it just a case of throwing in the lucas cav again ?..........just wondering ,not intending to do this for the time being

You will need to match the injectors to the pump, the good news is the block is the same on all DIs so if the worst came to the worst you can go back to the Lucas.
