Water leak

Postby zien49 » Wed Jul 23, 2008 2:04 pm

Hi All. Just found a water leak on my 2Lt Auto V4 1975 engine and it looks like it is from the rear of the engine and coming from the bell housing? I have looked in the book and see there are core plugs there? is this likely? DEREK

Hi, All. The water leak is the core plug at the rear of the engine the box is out, I just have to find the core plugs. DEREK

It is possible that the core plugs have rusted enough to let the water out but I'm not too familiar with the V4 so don't know for sure.
Oh how I long for the day when the rust is all gone!!!!! :-)

Have you checked the hoses to the heater?
