If you had said

I saw a LHD van with a sliding door. Was there really a sliding door on these?

It would be easier to understand! Not saying you should go off an take a degree in English Language or anything, just that text speak is difficult to understand!

Anyway, LHD and RHD Mk1 and Mk2 vans had sliding driver's and passenger doors. On the continent they had sliding side loading doors too, but we never got those in the UK.

SO I have seen a post card:

From MK1 tranny LHD and she has slidingdoor, driverside door, for a driver, newer seen it on MK2 tranny I have owned only MK2 phase 2 tranny.

AND the question is still; when this kinda door is assembled to tranny, PS or DS side, for driver or passenger

AND how many times I have to read yours posts, but it aint yours fault.......

As I already said, the Mk1 and Mk2 had both the driver's and passenger's doors in sliding form from the factory. In France and other places in continental Europe, the Mk1 and Mk2 had sliding side loading doors, but we didn't get them here in the UK.
The sliding doors were an option so most had hinged doors, and the Mk2 hardly ever had sliding doors, though Ford did offer them.

trans 9 you have more chance of seeing a Mk1 with sliding doors, they were getting less common by the Mk2 and myself I have never seen a Mk3 with them.
