hi, can you get replacement front sections for the mk2. not the cross member but the section s that run alongside the engine. my mate who is doing my welding recons the repairs that are required would mean a lot of work and this might be less expensive. regards H

Are they not just a simple C channel? As the Mk3 spring hanger can be adapted to fit, maybe you should look at repair sections for the Mk3.

A good steel fabrication shop would be able to fold these for you, provided they are straight sections, and as for welding them on, that area, i.e. chassis rails is extremely structural, so make sure that your welder (man and machine) are up to the job
